Just answer a few questions online about your home. You will then be provided with a selection of boilers and prices based on your answers. Choose the right one for you & we then ensure your water flow rates and gas supply are adequate conforming to British Standards. All that’s left for you to do is pick the installation date and our own professional engineers will carry out the installation, treating your home as if it were their own - No mess, No Stress.

  • Isolation valves on all pipe work entering your new boiler. - Good practice, added safety and to aid any future maintenance.

  • Earth bonding all pipe work entering the boiler. - Good Practice, added safety.

We sometimes get asked -

  • On the day of the survey the Engineer arrives at your home, they will introduce themselves, survey your existing system, ask about any problems you are experiencing or have in the past and physically check things like your working gas pressure & water flow rates.

  • The length of time a survey takes can vary, however, if like 90% of UK households you have a simple combination or system boiler, the survey should take no longer than 30 minutes.

    If your system is complex and utilises multiple heat sources and or renewables such as Air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, solar vacuum tubes etc it can take a little longer, but we will give you an estimate on the day.

  • No… Our Engineers are just that “Engineers” , they will not try and sell you anything, they will offer advice and that’s it. They are, however, partial to a nice cup of tea and if you give them a jammy dodger you will have a friend for life :)

    They also love to answer questions, so don’t hold back :)

  • We check lot’s of little things during the boiler installation survey. Our primary concern is your safety, then we want to ensure that your new boiler warranty will not be invalidated by insufficient working gas pressure and finally we want to check your homes water flow rates to ensure the right boiler options are provided.

    No one can do any of that over the internet.

  • Well they should, but would rather take a risk, guess or presume everything will be ok…

    The legal responsibility then falls onto the shoulders of their Subcontracted Gas Engineer who is installing the boiler to put it right on their behalf or install it outside of the manufacturers instructions design parameters. Ultimately the Sub contracted Gas Engineer takes the risk and responsibility that everything will be ok - fingers crossed.

    We know there are lots of online boiler installers with silly names like FUXIT that will lead you to believe that a boiler can be ordered online, delivered and then installed without any issues. But Trust us, it’s a gamble and a risk. Green Gas & Energy are in the business of safety, certainty and take great pride in doing things right first time.

    We want your new boiler, other gas appliances and pipe work to be safe.

    We want to ensure everything operates in accordance with British Standards and the manufactures instructions.

    We want to ensure your boiler provides you with many years of hassle free service.

    In short the Internet is great, we love it too, but there are just some things that can’t be done online despite what others may say.

    No-one can check the working pressure of your Gas supply over the internet or be certain that the Gas pressure is sufficient to supply a particular model boiler to enable it to run safe and efficiently, not to mention the water flow rate entering the property.

    We need to be there in person to check these things along with a host of other little things to make sure it’s right and you get what you want from the boiler.

  • Of course we will :)

    Your old boiler will be recycled with one of our approved partners, we will clean up, taking away all cardboard or any other mess and we will even hoover - because w e are good like that :)
