Our highly skilled Gas Safe Registered Engineers will carry out a survey and provide you with a report that will be emailed to you directly along with our recommendations & thermal imaging pictures prior to any work being carried out.
If we identify that your heating system is suffering with sludge or magnetite buildup we will assess the scale of the problem. It maybe that a Power Flush is not warranted and we would provide alternative recommendations to help solve the problem. Typical effective solutions we use includes;
First we could install a magnetic filter on the return feed prior to entering your boiler, which will help protect your heating system. The powerful magnetic filter attracts the magnetic sediment and captures it, preventing it from reaching your boiler. It’s important to remember that magnetite damages many primary boiler components, which are expensive to repair, not to mention the inconvenience of breakdowns.
Alternatively or in combination with the above we can add a central heating chemical flush to your system. The chemicals are designed to help breakdown or loosen stubborn magnetite build up. The chemical is added directly to the central heating system and then flushed through all of the radiators.
The final option would be a magnetic power flush. This involves the use of two extra strong magnets attached temporarily to your heating system to extract the magnetite sludge build up in combination with mechanical agitation on each individual radiator to help loosen it up.
